Now You See Me by Sharon Bolton Review

Lacey Flint Series, Book #1

Now You See Me

Now You See Me by Sharon Bolton is a crime thriller featuring Detective Constable Lacey Flint. She has to investigating murders very similar to that committed by the world’s most infamous serial killer, Jack the Ripper!

DC Lacey Flint has a troubled background. She has put it all behind her, turned her life around and is now a police detective with London’s Metropolitan Police.

When a woman dies in the arms of DC Flint and a mutilated corpse is discovered in London, both around the anniversaries of Jack the Ripper’s terrifying killing spree, a copycat killer is feared to on the loose and 3 more gruesome murders are expected.

DC Flint is a young, inexperienced detective but has a great knowledge of Jack the Ripper and soon becomes bait to find the killer.

Overall, I found Now You See Me to be a fabulous thriller that is filled with tense drama, suspense and some great surprises and twists. Described as a “nerve-shredding, up-all-night thriller”, I would have to agree as I found it very difficult to put down and very exciting.

This is a superb, thrilling, breath-taking and gripping read. It has been well-written, and DC Flint is an excellent character. If you like horrific crime thrillers and serial killers that keep you guessing right until the end then this is definitely one to read, I was drawn in and hooked from the very first page.

Now You See Me is the first book in the Lacey Flint series I am now off to read the second instalment; Dead Scared. If it half as good as Now You See Me, I’m in for an exciting and thrilling treat!

Now You See Me by Sharon Bolton is exciting, thrilling, breathtaking, gripping and a book you will totally lose yourself in.
